Lessons

My teaching combines the best traditions of Russian and American violin schools with a disciplined yet encouraging approach tailored to each student.Lessons focus on building strong technique, developing beautiful tone, improving practice habits, and helping students overcome technical and musical challenges in a natural and effective way.I believe students are most motivated when they can clearly recognize their own progress. As their technique becomes more secure, they gain confidence, independence, and greater artistic freedom.The goal is to enjoy every note you play.

About

Concertmaster of the Washington National Opera and the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra, Russian-born violinist Oleg Rylatko has performed throughout Europe and both American Continents as a soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician. Critics acclaimed his American recital debut at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC as “the performance of a lifetime” (“Washington Post”). His recordings are released under the Vernissage Records label.A graduate of the Moscow State Conservatory, where he studied with internationally acclaimed violinist Viktor Tretyakov, Mr. Rylatko also received an Artist Diploma from the Peabody Conservatory under the guidance of the renowned artist and pedagogue Prof. Berl Senofsky.Many of Oleg Rylatko’s students at the University of Maryland, Catholic University of America, Shenandoah Conservatory, as well as students from his private studio, are successfully pursuing or already enjoying professional careers.
